The pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela over us even today from a mysterious fascination for the man who is still always on a journey in search of God or his spiritual home. The heyday of the long hikes, however, was the late Middle Ages, when countless groups of pilgrims this indescribable trouble exposing. It was accompanied by the songs of the pilgrims way: music that is influenced by the rhythms of the step, hiking songs and liturgical music, songs of home, to be remembered and sung narratives of miracles and legends. The Ensemble Amadis embeds the most unanimous pieces in forms of improvised polyphony, and the resulting sensory stimulus, the expressivity of sound and noise, the vibrancy of the music world can buy one that draws the listener almost magical in its spell.
